Edward R. Murrow (April 25, 1908 – April 27, 1965) was a respected and pioneering journalist who is most regarded for his brave stance against McCarthiasm in the 1950's, in which he challenged and took down the Wisconsin senator for his Communist "Red Scare" that frightened the nation. He was a journalist, but he was also a true American hero. The film Good Night, And Good Luck chronicles this important event in both Murrow's life and America's history.
